ANCESTRY HANDWRITING
Deborah McCabe is a professional genealogist who specializes in reading and deciphering American handwriting, from the Colonial period through today. I can help you or your organization in reading troublesome cursive handwriting. Expertise includes court records, census, letters, journals, military records, deeds, pension applications, and more.
Fees are discussed with the client before work begins. I prefer to gauge each project based on ease/difficulty of handwriting and length of document(s). Upon agreement, a simple contract is signed with a down-payment of 10%; we can work out the details of how the remainder will be paid (remainder at completion of total project, partial payments at agreed-upon intervals, or upon completion of each document).
